Desert Storm is pleased to announce the adoption of the Thunderation Booster Club. This booster club was originally formed to support the efforts of the West Valley Thunder Cheerleading program.
The booster club has been very successful in assisting parents with the financial cost of cheerleading.

Last season, some parents who worked the events did not pay any money out of their pockets towards their cheerleader's tuition or travel expenses. There is plenty of money to be made and a lot of opportunity. We have 2 booths at Cricket Pavilion. The average take home in tips per concert is between $25 - $100 per person. A portion of the sales during the concert will be distributed into the kids' accounts to help pay for expenses.

At this time there are approximately 18 concerts lined up for the summer months. In the Fall, there is the opportunity to work at Cardinals stadium and Jobing.com arena for concerts and Coyotes hockey games. There are 44 games for hockey and about 10 games for football. It's a great way to meet and socialize with the other Desert Storm parents.

In order to work the events, each person must be TIPS certified. This is a free class offered by Aramark through Cricket. In order to work hockey or football, a food handlers card is needed. This again is a free opportunity as TIPS are a non-profit organization.

The food handlers card can be obtained through the Maricopa Environmental Services Department. The website provides all of the information needed to take the test to get the food handlers card.
